I’m delighted to let you know that RunSat for Windows Phone 7 is now on the Zune MarketPlace: http://bit.ly/runsatWp7

The price is currently $1.29 or £0.99 – all funds received will encourage me to build more! For those of you who think the app is not worth paying for, there will be an infinite full functioning free trial available shortly. I missed the “allow trial” checkbox on the first app store submission – sorry!

News on WM6.5, Bada and Android updates to follow in the next couple of hours…

No need to apologize .. the software is easily worth the £0.99 !!! I was considering paying for Run.Gps until I stumbled upon Runsat. This software is just as good
Only icing on the cake would be a way to use Google Earth mapping with this, but the open source maps are great for now.

I moved over from Run GPS as they do not offer Phone 7 support yet. Great expiriance so far after first run. Is there a bluetooth heartrate connection available?

I bought runsat on wp7, its pretty good. Some bug reports for you:
On diary page, when a trip is over 7 days old it shows DD Mmm yyyy text. Perhaps its not a blanket 7 days, might be over a month transition. For me right now (5 Feb) I can’t see “x days ago” longer than 6 days.
Related to this. On diary list it shows “1 day ago” if the trip was before a GMT transition, even though the trip ended 2 hours ago for instance. If the trip ended in this GMT day, it shows hours since it more correctly.
Wish list. Ability to email out a kml track log from the app. Haven’t tried the runsaturday website to see if uploaded trips can be exported or not, but within the app would be a good addition!
Question: is there a way to move diary items from the free version to full? I had 3 trips I want to keep and think I am not able to retain.
Well done on a very usable app!

Thanks Brett
As a regular user I know all about the DDmmmyyyy issue but have held off releasing a patch while I get more feedback – I will issue a fix for it in the next couple of days – it will then depend on the MarketPlace about when they approve it.
As a UK user, I wasn’t aware of the GMT issue – have just looked at that – spotted the problem (I think) – thanks
On the wish, the runsaturday option is your only bet at present – you can then map the runs or get the KML track out – e.g. here’s my run this morning
On the question – sorry but I can’t think of a way to do this at present – you can definitely link both free and full to the website – but transferring within the mobile phone is blocked for security reasons (generally I think this is a good thing – although it would be nice if there was some way!)
Thanks again for the feedback – please do ask more questions – I intend to keep making the app better without hopefully overcomplicating it!

The app looks great but my wife is looking for a specific feature. She basically needs a stopwatch where he can set interval time (5 minutes running/ 1 minute walking) and get a sound or vibrate at teh end of each interval. I can not tell if RunSAT does this. Oh she is on WP7.
February 13th, 2011 on 10:15 am
Sorry – that’s not what RunSat does right now!
Does you wife want just that functionality? Or does she want all the GPS distance tracking as well as the interval timing and vibration?
February 15th, 2011 on 2:50 am
She would love both. She likes the GPS tracking however when she trainers she uses the interval method which requires the the ablity to setup a Run amount and a Walk Amount.
Some of the people she runs with has this functionality via their IPhone.

Thanks in advance

Glad to hear you like it. Sign up on runsaturday.com – enter your username and password into the app – then use the share button to upload. Any more questions, ask on Talk page on runsat – someone will help out

My husband and I both have Samsung Focus phones. RunSat worked great for a couple of weeks, but now they record time only for 3-7 minutes and then turn off. I uninstalled the program and reinstalled it, but to no avail. What can we do?
June 23rd, 2011 on 4:23 pm
I’m confused what this could be. Did anything else change around the time the app stopped working – e.g. was this when the “NoDo” update happened for your Samsung phones? I’m also unsure what the 3-7 minutes is – could this be something to do with the phone going into idle? i.e. does the app stop working when the phone goes into idle?

I love this app but when I go running and I want to change my music I have not figured out a way to leave Runsat, go to Zune, change the music and get back to the same run. I have to start a new run when I change the music. Is there a way to change music without starting a new run?

I like this app a lot and use it many times a week..
So simple and data down loaded automatically.
What I would like to see developed is
bluetooth heartrate connection. I guess this is in th plans. Any idea of time chedule for this?

Sorry for the delay in seeing this comment. I think some of this functionality is coming in “Mango” update
While waiting for this, though, you can try using “back” to get back to your run instead of moving forwards – this should help you , I hoe.

Thanks vasby – I’d love to add this – at the moment, though, I’m waiting to see if Microsoft allow it – at the moment there is no support for bluetooth devices in any WP7 app
Hopefully soon, but this is out of my control.

Love this app, though it only gets used on the weekend as I’m on a treadmill in the week. Wether’s getting cooler now though so could be using it for ll training.
Is there any way in the app or WP7.5 to disable the screen lock, or just lock the HUD in the app? I’d love to be able to check my pace at a glance, especially on middle distance runs.
October 30th, 2011 on 5:19 pm
Not currently any way to do that…sorry… but I will look at that as an idea as I build out the Mango release this month.

Installed it on my new HTC Titan. Love it. I think (well hope) I paid for it via Zune. Well worth it.

Thanks
I *promise* there is a Mango update coming soon – and a revamp of the website. I *promise*!
P.S> Can I borrow your Titan please

I’ve been using this app for a long time and love it! But I would really like to get the Mango update — any news?
Cheers from Germany!
