Thanks Benjamin Currently there’s no quick and easy way to swap between different tiles – the only way you could do it is to change both the tile source and the map directory at the same time. I’m far too bsuy for my own good at the moment… but I’ll look at how map swapping functionality might be changed too – maybe to allow you to change during the activity – as a cyclist, I understand the different benefits of OSM and OCM.
I’m still having the timing issue with the new release. I think the problem might be that it is not recording my speed acurrately. Its telling me that my max speed is 11.6 MPH with an average of 8.5. That’s too fast for my pace. Not sure what else I can do for you to help find the problem.
What I’m seeing makes me wonder if there’s something odd going on in the clocking of your Imagio – it genuinely looks like the “TickCount” method within the Windows OS on your phone is giving me times which are 20% fast. I’ll be in touch shortly with a test app to try to confirm.
It does look like this issue is unique to you (so far) – there are no other timing problems I’ve had reported for 1.1.6 – but I have had some “GPS lock” issues reported.
This app simply tries to compare the TickCount with the onboard clock on your Imagio.
If you could leave it running for a period of time (e.g. 20 minutes like your run) then I’d be fascinated to see what the results are. If possible please use your phone just like you do on the run – e.g. don’t run the test while connected to a charger.
On my Omnia II, I just ran it for almost an hour and I saw very little variation. Because of the nature of the main time tick I do expect to see up to 1 second variation occasionally – but nothing like your 2 minutes every 10 that you are seeing in the main runsat application.
Hope this helps move us forwards – just trying to work out what the problem is
Downloaded 1.1.6 today and had some trouble with it. My speed kept fluctuating between 0 and actual… and distance never changed from 0.0. My results were uploaded to runsaturday.com and show a 5 min trip was taken, with 0.0 distance, and 0.0 avg speed. Am I doing something wrong here?
How about implementing a small portable music player into this application? It’s kinda hard switching between wmp and runsat. Would make lot easier for runners
One thing that I just noticed is in the GPS section of the information screen, it switches from ‘no gps data’ to the name of a sat. Whenever it is displaying ‘no gps data’ the speed is at 0; whenever it shows the name of a sat it actually displays a speed. Also, there is a red square in the gps section (just as shown in your screenshots section of the website). I’m assuming this should be green but I haven’t seen it any other color on my phone or on your website, so I’m not 100% certain.
Thanks John
This is definitely on the ideas list – although I’m also looking for other player apps I could try to integrate with as I’m not looking to write yet another music player app.

I think there’s something that some phones don’t like about 1.1.16… I’ll take a look at what this is. In the meantime, please feel free to see if 1.1.12 might work better for you – there’s a blog post with the installer link in it
Thanks again for the feedback – will try to understand what is going wrong on some phones!
If you can’t create a profile using the app, then simply sign up to http://www.runsaturday.com using a browser, then enter your username and password into the app. Hope that helps
I think I found my problem. Locking my touch screen after starting the app must have been affecting my times. When I went out for my run this am, I decided not to lock the screen on my imagio. When I finished the time was right on. Hopefully this info helps someone else.
Hi,
My problem is that I am not able to find the “lap button”. I know I can use the auto lap function or the pause button, but you wrote about third(manual) way. Can you help me? Thanks.
J.
Hi Jindrich
To add laps you need to use the rightmost bottom button – the only reason this isn’t available if you’ve also enabled the “turn off backlight” button.
Stuart
Hi!
Great application!
I’ve only one remark/sugestion: can you add an option “backlight always on” Now screen backlight is descending after time set in system settings (e.g. 30 sec)
Hi Rob
Yes – I have a version running on Bada – not all functions yet (e.g. no map yet) but basic functions are OK.
I’m slowly trying to get it through the Samsung app approval process so it can be seen in the on-phone app store

Hi Joe
I’ve uploaded a test app to http://slodge.com/forjoe/timertest.exe.

Not sure what the problem was there – do you have a link for the uploaded activity? Also, what’s the phone you’re running on?
Will look at it

OK, below is the link to my profile. I’m running your program on a Sprint Touch Pro 2. By the way, nice job on it… looks good!

There’s a setting in RunSat somewhere to allow you to switch off the screen from software – this might help with your problem.
