Sorry I missed this comment! To use your own calibrated maps you do need to make sure the map download is turned to off, the map server is set to off and that there are no leftover maps folders inside the /maps navmi directory
Many thanks for getting back.
Shame you can not implement this as I know there are titles such as “OS GPS Converter” http://www.freenetpages.co.uk/hp/barrydavies/osgps_main.html which can convert positions between WGS84 lat&long and OS British & Irish or UTM worldwide grid references.
It seems this is a common problem with most HTC phones.
To work around this there is an option to show a screen off button within navmi. To enable this screen off button go to the System option screen (almost the last one)
[quote]I think I may have misunderstood “OS reference data”
I thought you were looking for Ordinance Survey maps – but it sounds like you only want OS co-ordinates? Right?
In that case, it is something I can add – but I need to sort out this UK trademark issue first :/ Always work to do![quote]
Yes, correct… Sorry if I confused you.
All I need is an ability to be able to look on the screen for either Lat&Long or my OS Grid position.
With that I can then look at my map to check it is correct or make corrections.
Hi,
thank you for this great app. When I’m reviewing my activities, the timeline in the charts for elevation and height seems to be distorted. It looks like the first half of the training is compressed to less than a quarter of the chart, while the second half ist stretched over the rest of the chart. Is there a workaround for this.

Is it possible to listen to music while using the sat nav on an iPhone and if so does it auto adjust the volume when it gives you a pre turn warning? Many thanks
Tim
Is there a live view available? Maybe on Runsaturday? This would be great to let people at home know where I am.
Now I use http://www.trackr.eu Works fine, also live, but not specifically for sports (e.g. few other stats and no heights).
Sorry I missed this comment – it got lost in among all the spam messages – sorry.
There’s no live view at the moment – but I am thinking about adding it.
Sorry I missed this comment – it got lost in the spam folder – sorry :/
You can listen to music… but there is no clever volume mixing code at the moment.
Seems like a great app, but how the heck do you get out of the settings screens and back to the app? I am stuck in the settings cycle, with no way to “save” settings and go back to the app.
Sorry, agin because gt and lt are not supported characters )
Hi, i love navmi using it on my HTC HD2 in connection with runsaturday. Also that it tells me the time of each lap (e.g. each km) during the run. It would be perfect if navmi could tell me also the number of the lap i just finished, eg.: [time] LAP [lap no.]
heigool… I just looked and the code already show Lap number at the top of the text Or do you mean that you want it to actually say the lap number as speech?
are you able to provide some more pictograms? I would like to get an Motorcycle, and then the dashboard have to have a higher Scala. 100 km/h is not enough.
@navmi: Telling the lap no. (speech) thats exactly I was asking for. At the moment it tells the time needed for the just finished lap, but not the lap no itself. Because i am so slow i can’t memorize the lap no. i am on… )
So my idea was it first tells the time like it does at the moment, then the keyword “LAP” and then the lap no.
Maybe it can be configured wether it tells it or no.
I downloaded the app from Marketplace. I keep getting an error message when I try to create a profile. The error message is “error.net.webexception”. Any guidance on getting past this screen?
Sorry for the problem Steve.
It sounds like the app might be having problems over your network – do you have a data connection running?
If the data connection is not the problem, then you could try registering direct at http://www.runsaturday.com and then trying the other option in runsat – trying to link to the (new) existing profile.
Hope that helps
Stuart
I have downloaded this app and must say it’s great!
Almost identical to gpscyclecomputer, yet with many more features which makes it great.
But i have one and only problem: speed refresh rate.
Is there any way to increase speed latency? Like refreshing speed status every second or so.
Thanks for any input!
Just recently started using runsat for cycling and I love it. Quick question though.
I nwas out for a cycle today and my phone (HTC HD2) hung just as I got back home and I had to cold reboot it.
When I restarted runsat i couldn’t find my the data from that last cycle. I see it as a course, and when I lok at the data files in the runsat direcory I see a ‘Cycle_ file for the trip.
Anyway I can get that data into runsat and/or up to runsaturday.com?
Thanks for the comments, Kieran. There is a really nasty techie way to get the file included… if you want to know how… then use runsat to create a new short trace; stop runsat; copy the log file from the runsat directory (I think it’s called navmi.log) to your PC, open the log file in your PC (e.g. in notepad) – you’ll see the xml contents including the new short activity but not the old long activity… so then rename the navmi file referenced within the short activity to the old name… yuk, that’s horrid! Let me think about a better way to do that! Stuart
Hi Mark
Yes – I’ve put in some code but not yet had time to build a new release and put it through testing – work getting in the way. I’ll try to get something done *today*.
Stuart
I recently downloaded the Windows Mobile RunSat program. The program works extremely well. There is just 1 issue I seem to have. It seems like each lap I run, the time is off by approximately 2 minutes, per lap. For a 10 mile run, the total time was off about 20 minutes. Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone else experiemced this problem. Overall, this is a greta app and I highly recommend it.
Also can you let me know what phone you’re on. I now have one other user who is reporting timing issues – basically he’s seeing jumps of about 20 minutes during operation about 50% of the time. I will see if I can spot what you and he have in common.
Ok, I was able to create a profile on http://www.runstaruday.com and upload my results. I’m not sure if that’s the information you’re looking for. Looks like it is not accurately calculating my MPH either. Is there anything else you need from my phone?
The account would not create from the phone.
Very odd that you can send logs from your phone but that you can’t create an account. Will look into it.
I’m still unsure what is happening with your phone and the 2 minutes off per lap – that is a big error!
I’ve tried to work around it using a different timing source – can you try a download at http://www.runsaturday.com/runsat/release/runsat_1_1_6.cab – I’m testing this here and it seems to work OK. If it fixes your problem too, then I will release it fully.
I have gone on 2 walks since you gave me the updated software. The timing seems better. I will know for sure tomorrow when I go out for my run. I will write back. Thanks for your help.
stumbled across your app – it looks fantastic, exactly what I was looking for (openCycleMap integration, mainly – the cycle computer dashboard is a bonus too).
Could you tell me if there is an option where I can store different tilesets in cache? Or should I manage this by changing the map download directory when I want to swap between them? I would like, for example, both openCycleMap and openStreetBrowser tilesets stored on my device for the same area.
Regardless – the ergonomics of your app are way better than Memory Map, my current GPS (got trails on iPhone as well but the battery’s terrible, and caching doesn’t work properly). Will be keeping an eye on runsat!

Hi Bears – sadly OS access isn’t free so no we can’t display their maps at present. I believe there are some paid apps which do this.

Will try to add something – but I’m not sure there’s a nice room for motorcycle data inside runsaturday.com at the moment.
The scale on the speedo can be edited using the “Chart” Settings page for each sport.
Edit – just seen that the max value is 100 – will set something higher in next release!
